How LED Tube Bulbs Work
LED tube bulbs have a very simplistic design. A clear plastic tube with an aluminum backing is created and then bascially a computer board with LED bul
bs installed on it (276 bulbs on a 4ft tube). The board is then conected to 2 wires the come through the back side of the bulb with a plug that attached to the power driver. Because there is no power that is sent through the bi-pin socket plugs, they simply close ecah end with a cap and pins to simulate the look and design of a typical fluorescent bulb. This allows the LED tube to be used in standard fixtures throughout the country.
The biggest selling point of the LED u Bulb brand LED Tubes is that it uses an external driver. Some brand come with an internal driver wich takes up space inside the bulb as well as generates a lot of unwanted heat inside the bulb. This in turn reduces the life span of the bulb. Our external dirver allows us to offer a 7 year warranty and include more LEDs inside the tube with the extra space left over giving more light output per LED tube.
The light weight and shatter resistant design makes them very easy to transport and handle. There is no fear of mercury because all of the LED models are 100% recyclable and contain no mercury.
